Group Pizza/Pasta night! |
So there is something that we have all noticed while being in this lovely country. . . the people are extremely kind, but at times, can be too kind. Let me tell you, walking to school and back and to the store, we had about 10 people honk/whistle at us! And yes, this is a regular occurrence for ALL of us "BYU Princesses" as Dr. Jacobs calls us. At first we were startled, then we were amazed at the occurrence, now its normal and doesn't even phase us.Its kind of fun to count now how many we get each day on the way to and from school! Although, two of our other girls were walking the other day and a couple lovely people decided to show them something on their middle finger, they couldn't quite make out what it was but oh well, they got a honk too! :) Tonight was a fun night, all the girls and our mums/dads went over to one house so we could all get to know each other. It was pizza/pasta night!! Me and Neeley made chicken carbonara pasta. . . mmmm yes it was lovely although our mum and dad laughed at us as we cooked because the pot was so big and tough to maneuver. It was an experience let me tell you!

School has been amazing lately, I have learned a lot of great insight about the classrooms here and its amazing how good of writers there first graders are! We are doing something seriously wrong in the states! They have some great techniques and ideas that I can not wait to try here and back home! This was by far one of the best decisions I have ever made! The amount I have learned so far about myself, the gospel, life, and my profession is just heaps!:) I can only imagine what this next 3 months will bring! Oh and only 3 more weeks until. . .SKYDIVING, on my Birthday!
